Torbay’s Bay of Lights is a spectacular annual festive celebration that transforms the English Riviera into a magical winter wonderland.

Taking place across Torquay, Paignton and Brixham, The amazing festival kicks off on Saturday, 28 November 2026 with a fabulous fireworks display. Then will continue to light up the bay until Sunday 3rd January.

The event brings the area to life with dazzling illuminations, colourful light displays and a wonderful atmosphere of Christmas cheer. At the heart of the celebrations is the free, accessible Illumination Trail along Torquay seafront, where visitors can enjoy impressive light installations, interactive displays and memorable photo opportunities against the beautiful backdrop of the bay. The event also features a programme of festive attractions and activities, creating an enjoyable experience for families, residents and visitors of all ages.

As part of the Bay of Lights, there is an Ice Rink situated on Torre Abbey (with real ice!) and this year it promises to be bigger and better than ever before.
